Fulham Gardens

This is one of the smaller gardens that ODD have designed & constructed, with a pool taking up most of the available space. The client really liked tropical gardens but the challenge was to give them the feel of a tropical garden without the space becoming too crowded.

ODD constructed a Spotted Gum hardwood deck under the alfresco area and continued the deck past the frameless glass pool fencing to give a greater sense of space. The timber continues over the other side of the pool with built in seating (with storage underneath) and up the wall face. ODD also choose the pool tile colour to complement the large format charcoal pavers we were installing. A raised render planter was constructed from concrete filled blocks to balance the seating height. A Corten Steel planter/sculpture was chosen that is positioned so that it is seen in the backyard from the moment you enter the front door. Another important aspect of this yard is the lighting, ODD used LED lights in the deck for both looks and safety and have installed numerous up-lights to provide mood lighting and highlight garden features.
